For the fifth year, this unique tail-wagging, foot-stomping festival that is Woofstock UK is returning to Dartmouth again in 2019 but not just for one day oh no we have planned a full weekend festival of fun with a difference to four-legged visitors and their two-legged companions.
On 16, 17 and 18 August 2019 you will be rocking to the sound of live music, while dogs strut their stuff in the show ring and spectators enjoy a variety of demonstrations, including agility, the new doggy sport of Hoopers and the ever-popular Devon and Cornwall Police Dog Training School. There’ll be awards for top dogs in a number of categories but there’s a treat in store for every dog, in the shape of an organic, edible entrance ticket!
With camping and even VIP glamping on offer together with evening music live on stage with some big name artists you would be barking mad to miss out on this.
Winners of a competition for the UK’s best dog-friendly day out in 2017 and finalists in 2018, Woofstock UK finds a natural home in an area which is renowned for welcoming dogs.
“We’re delighted to be back in Dartmouth for a third year,” says Heather Nesbitt, founder and organiser of Woofstock UK. “2018 Was a great success. The attendance was incredible and saw the town buzzing. 2019 is even more exciting as we celebrate our 5th birthday with a full weekend of festival fun for humans and their dogs. In a brand new location with stunning views across the Devon countryside where everyone can enjoy the weekend festivities with ample free parking on site.”
The weekend barks off at 6.30pm, with live music on the main stage. Among a diverse mix of trade stands, there’ll be tasters and fun things to do, with Woofstock UK’s own bar keeping humans happy and The Bottom Sniffer Inn serving pawsecco and dog beer to canine customers.
Woofstock UK are proud supporters of charity and 2019 chosen charities are Pawsome Pensions, Animals in Distress and Animals Asia.
This is a festival for everyone – miss it and you’ll miss out!!
