For the fourth year, this unique tail-wagging, foot-stomping festival that is Woofstock UK is returning to Dartmouth again in 2018, offering a day out with a difference to four-legged visitors and their two-legged companions.
On Saturday, 4th August, Coronation Park will be rocking to the sound of live music, while dogs strut their stuff in the show ring and spectators enjoy a variety of demonstrations, including agility, the new doggy sport of Hoopers and the ever-popular Devon and Cornwall Police Dog Training School. There’ll be awards for top dogs in a number of categories but there’s a treat in store for every dog, in the shape of an organic, edible entrance ticket!
Winners of a competition for the UK’s best dog-friendly day out in 2017, Woofstock UK finds a natural home in a town which is renowned for welcoming dogs.
“We’re delighted to be back in Dartmouth for a second year,” says Heather Nesbitt, founder and organiser of Woofstock UK. “2017 Was a great success. The attendance was incredible and saw the town buzzing.”
The action starts at 10.00 am, with The Countess Bathurst, devoted owner of five dogs, opening the festival. Among a diverse mix of trade stands, there’ll be tasters and fun things to do, with the inflatable pub once again keeping humans happy and The Bottom Sniffer Inn serving pawsecco and dog beer to canine customers.
Woofstock UK are proud supporters of charity and every penny made at this year’s event will be donated to Animals Asia, Dogs on the Street (DOTS) and local animal rescue centre, Animals in Distress.
This is a festival for everyone – miss it and you’ll miss out!!
